Except I wouldn't necessarily call less expensive units junk units. Many brands favor comparably or even better than Jackery with some even having better warrantees with far better feature sets. . Considering Jackery has historically been sold for more $ (wh/$) than any other brand meaning any brand you buy would be cheaper than a Jackery. Jackery was one of, if not the original seller of this type of device and they've relied heavily on name recognition, not innovation ever since. They where even one of the very last companies to shift to LFP batteries. It took them forever to finally keep up with other brands when it came to things like charging speed and other features. They've only recently begun being somewhat competitive in features and pricing. After looking this model over a bit, I see it only takes 200 watts of solar charging. Thats bottom of the barrel specs for this day and age. 200watts of solar is a pathetic number & will be a deal breaker for anyone planning to use this primarily off grid as a true 'solar' generator. This thing is not big, being barely 1kwh of capacity and you still couldn't fully charge it in a full days worth of sunlight with maximum solar input. SMH.

Very good price for this unit. These are really coming down to semi-reasonable levels, which means the cheaper junk units will be even cheaper.

the 2000v2 is 704 after discount. This i about 2x more than the 1000v2, so it is about the same capacity of 2x the 1000v2. Tempting. Does anyone have any comparisons of the 2000v2 vs 2x 1000v2?

if you are referring to the bundled option jackery uses barrel chargers below the top 5000 unit, and the panel they bundle will tend to come with what you need.
To buy on your own rigid normal aluminum frame panels will be more cost effective, they will be less mobile, will need an mc4->barrel adapter which is not a big deal.

For the record its 200w per port.
They have two port so its 200w x 2 = 400w

Does 400w make it good enough?

I only have the 1000, but it is also noteworthy that the 2000 had higher peak wattage as well. if you have something like a sump pump that requires a lot of wattage when it first starts, the 1000 probably won't do. I'm personally waiting for a good deal on a 3000 for my sump pump and chest freezer because I would like a little head room for the sump pump. So unless you need the flexibility of two separate back ups for different locations, the 2000 is potentially the better deal.
