Fake meat??? If you eat that stuff, then this might be a decent deal.

Nice to know that censorship is alive and well here at Slick Deals.

Now I realize why I seldom bother posting.

From my understanding BK still cooks the buns in meat fat. So not entirely vegan.

In 1957, a Whopper was $0.37 on the $1, literally. Today that would be $0.47 x 7.25 = $3.40.
I did the Jack O Lantern deal today and that was like $4.025 per Whopper. The Federal minimum wage states are getting had by Burger King.
That's a really interesting way to frame it, thank you for sharing! The conversation about minimum wages and inflation was something I grew up watching (and struggled through), only to experience it further today. Again, thank you for sharing a breakdown!
To add more info for anyone reading, here's a quick inflation calculator. I used it to show the value of $0.37 from 1957 to today's dollar value adjusted for inflation.

"$0.37 in 1957 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $4.23 today"

I like to use both to have a range. If you look at inflation and proportioning out the minimum wages, I think somewhere in there is the fair market price for whatever it is that you are trying to find the price for.
