Ok so I always do this deal. Yes it gives you paramount+ free. My current account expires in a month or two so I used a different email.

ADDED BONUS: as soon as you sign up with code KICKOFF, go to your membership and hit "cancel subscription". They immediately give you an extra few months for free. My new one now expires January 6, 2027. Can't upload a photo as proof but did screenshot it.

I do this deal all the time for paramount+ only and it's so worth it

EDIT: sorry for my bad math everyone 🥴. I apparently am still stuck in 2024 lol. It's just a few extra months not a year. I corrected the statement above.

For years it has only ever mentioned the 30-day trial at the Sportsline site, BUT it's always gotten Paramount+ (w/Showtime) for the same amount of time as the Sportsline membership.

Not only is it a year, but when you cancel they tend to offer you more months, currently seems to be doing it for another 3 months.

That's only 3 months extra from October to Jan not one year and 3 months. That would be Jan 2028.

Hey OP, it does not need to be a new Sportsline account. I logged into my expired account, went up to my profile (top right), clicked the dropdown and selected upgrade. I then selected the 1 year option, entered the KICKOFF code and boom... $40. I then went into my account and clicked to cancel, it offered the 3 extra months, and now I'm good to 1/6/2027. I then clicked on the provided "Paramount+ to link your accounts" link in the original post, logged into my existing (also expired) P+ account and then started watching a show.

Good stuff!

What happens if after the trick you actually cancel? Does it cancel immediately or it will expire on Jan 6, 2027?

Another SDer reported that when they cancelled early, they lost out on the bonus three months. Best to set a reminder on your calendar for Jan 2027.

You should update this to state new and previous members. I was able to use my expired sportsline account, used the code and got it for $40 for 12 months. I then did the cancel step for the extra 3 months (15 total). Finally, I used my existing, expired, P+ account too.

I have watched 3-4 shows since signing up and have not seen a single commercial; I also have access to the Showtime shows. Maybe you are referring to when you go to start a show and they show you 1 P+ commercial about other P+ shows you can watch? ...but you can skip that 1 commercial. Then there are no other commercials during the show or for non P+ things.

If you are seeing other "real" commercials, maybe you selected the wrong plan????

Didn't "select" any plan. Just connected my Sportsline account to my Paramount account (which had no paid subscription), and ended up with the plan with commercials and no Showtime.
Not sure at all why I ended up with a different result. Maybe it's because I used existing Sportsline and Paramount accounts? Neither were subscribed but both had past subscriptions.
Not a huge deal either way, just annoying.
