Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank 1gokart

This is way too expensive and doesn't even come with a rapid charger.
You can find deals with a tool, 5.0ah battery and charger between $200-$240
String Trimmer and 4.0ah battery and charger $188.

Certain tools will "down-volt" if they don't have the minimum sized battery, like the 18" chainsaw. Needs a 5 aH or bigger battery to run at 100% power. So the battery in OP would work, just not optimally.

my Ego mower came with a 7.5A. I sometimes use a 5A battery when the 7.5A battery runs out.

if I put a 4A battery in the mower, will it work as well?

(all batteries are original Ego batteries that came with the different tools)

Thanks! Smilie

Heck, sometimes I even throw a little 2.5Ah battery in my mower, and it's fine. (Although I never use the self-propel)

I'm relatively new to Ego tools.

However, I think I'm already heading down the very dangerous path of buying Ego tools just for their batteries.(when they are on sale for prices worth of Slickdeals) Big Grin
