This a really good tv. Just make sure you always buy the $35 Costco 3 year warranty for extra protection. If something goes wrong you can just swap it out with a newer model. Also this model might drop to $400 during Black Friday

I Bought two of the 55" Costco versions of this TV about 3 months ago, and have also had to pull the cord about 5 different times due to them completely freezing up. For the $220 price I paid for each, I still think it's a great bang for the buck T.V., but the complete freeze ups have been really annoying.
I have a Samsung that freezes some too. I was wondering if backing out/ using exit feature in the app helps. My Samsung freezes less when I exit versus just pressing home button. Thanks in advance!

Not Mini LED, no local dimming, not nearly as bright. I picked up the 75" QM6K pro for $599 (had to buy 2 last month to get that price) and love it
I just grabbed the qm6k 65 for 499. this looks good but my room are too bright

To those that bought it, how is the Google OS? Just read review on Costco its horrendous, he bought a Roku stick to be able to use it. TIA
I have the 55". the google OS overall seems fine. the only issue I CANNOT figure out is a web based video cast, from my Google Pixel Android phone. it always worked on my old Chromecast stick. but this TV can't do it. it loads, shows the title of the video, and then freezes on the cast blue icon. anyone else have cast issues?
I've had this issue also. Maybe try a few variables: is it all sites or just some? Does YouTube cast without issue?

It's not the OS itself.
Google TV/Android TV is an excellent OS the issue is that most TVs even top tier cannot handle it.
Try the 4K Pro [walmart.com] and you'll experience it at its best.

I came here to say the same...I never use the TV OS. I've owned most manufacturers and the majority run poorly..my last high end Sony had Google, while the integration is nice, the 4k pro is a great alternative for any TV OS.

No, when I say it freezes up, I mean the TV locks up hard. No button on the remote will do anything, power button included. Even the power button on the bottom front of the TV does nothing, the only remedy is to unplug the TV and plug it back in.

FWIW, this doesn't look to have local dimming. I thought this was just a Costco specific version of the Q7 which would be amazing at this price, but Reddit seems to think's it's a Q6 which I also don't think is true because the Q6 is a 60Hz panel, not 144Hz. So I'm not sure what to compare this to since it doesn't seem to have a direct counterpart in TCL's standard lineup.

Personal experience has not been great, occasionally freezes up and I have to pull the power cord so it can reset. Also, and a bigger issue for me, does not support the Xfinity streaming app. Big miss for those of us in Comcast territory that still have a cable streaming package.

I was going to say that the solution for this is to use the CAST feature from eruption the Xfinity app to cast the channel you want to watch to the TV, then just minimize the app and use your phone as usually, but it looks like someone else is having trouble with casting on this TV too. The big problem with most of the Android TV implementations on cheaper TVs is that they scimp on the SoC used to power the OS; I know Sony's implementation works really well without issue, and it runs a little slow on the Vizio, but never had any issues like these - I've had an nVIDIA Shield AndroidTV device since 2015, and it still works like a dream 10+ years later, and still gets android updates, so this isn't really an issue for me anyway.
