Gen 2 is $379 right now. Curious what is sacrificed and what is gained with Gen 2? I am aware the Gen 2 has one less AC outlet and no light.

Dont see much value in this over the cheaper Gen 2, unless you want to add batteries.

Plan on using this in garage / shed with solar panels, and leave AC connected for night time recharging.

From what I read, the Gen 1 will prioritize AC charging, not able to have simultaneous solar + AC... but the gen 2 states it does support. Anyone with real world experience on this?

I went with the Bluetti for the extra solar capacity

Bought the Gen 2. Price on Amazon was surprisingly less than that on the Anker Solix website!

i dont know if you can really go wrong with either? just make sure it has the capacity to do what you want. i use yhis C1000 with an expansion battery. perfect for us to power some modern day amenities. the light bar stays on overnight for us outside our tent so ots easy to see when someone needs a bathroom break middle of the night.

If only Anker's customer support wasn't trash. I remember when it was top-notch. They must have realized that treating customers well was not profitable.

What happened to Anker's support?

Their products were good, and I never had to use support, but I am finding their quality is declining.
