It can take a day (or two) to get the coupon.

It's targeted to different users. I didn't see it on my personal AMEX Platinum, Business Platinum, Delta AMEX or Hilton AMEX. YMMV.

I can't tell you it will or won't work, but I can tell you I went through the Dell login, got some $ for that, and a $100 AMEX credit is on my account now.
I purchased more than the $500 mark (not just this computer). Some think tax will work, but I didn't want to risk $100, so I got it up to $500 before tax.
