I've used creatine for over a decade at this point and this stuff does seem to be a cut above the standard stuff you can buy. I used Jacked Factory for a couple years because it was super cheap and seemed to be as good as anything else I had used, but I got this a couple months ago on a similar promotion and it does definitely dissolve more readily, likely because of the fineness of the powder. Though the fineness is sort of a double edged sword, it seems to be a bit messier and more likely to plume and kinda get everywhere.

your comment didn't sound quite right to my ear. I'm just gonna start resistance training next week, finally, and am just looking into creatine supplementation now. Here's what I found on Perplexity AI:

A creatinine blood test does not directly measure the amount of creatine in the body; it measures the level of creatinine, which is a waste product formed from the breakdown of creatine in muscles.
What the Test Measures
The creatinine blood test evaluates how much creatinine is present in the blood. Since creatinine is produced when creatine (used for muscle energy) is broken down, elevated or reduced creatinine levels are primarily used to assess kidney function, not the amount of creatine in the body.
Relationship Between Creatine and Creatinine
Creatine and creatinine are related but distinct compounds. Creatine is consumed or synthesized for muscle energy; creatinine is the end waste product of creatine metabolism. While changes in creatine supplementation or muscle mass may affect creatinine levels slightly, the creatinine blood test is not designed or accurate for measuring creatine levels in the body.
Clinical Use of Creatinine Test
Medical professionals use the creatinine blood test to monitor kidney health. High creatinine may indicate reduced kidney filtration, while low creatinine can be linked to decreased muscle mass or certain health conditions.
In summary, a creatinine blood test measures creatinine—a marker of kidney function—not the amount of creatine in the body.

Much easier. It's like powdered sugar vs. fine sand.

Horbäach Creatine never disappoints...been using it for years.
Always a great deal even at regular price. (2.2 LB. for $24)
No gimmicks or funny "mega sales"

Seems like you're correct.

Only question would be the quality of the products

FWIW, Sports research also has products at Costco. When I tried to Google Horbaach I didn't find much to suggest they're very reputable. I have used both and the horbaach is especially grainy, while SR seems like finer powder and is easier to drink. YMMV

have you tried the one from purebulk? It's a very reputable brand, and if you wait for a long weekend it's probably be $20 for 1kg (2.2 lbs)

Keep in mind that the Bulksupplements Creatine is 2 scoops per serving, while this creatine is 1 scoop per serving. That's my only complaint with the BS creatine because I mix it with my morning coffee. I'd much prefer 1 scoop instead of 2.

Creatine mono has always been 5g serving regardless of brand. More than likely the scoop size is different between brands?

I've used the BulkSupplements powder. It's very fine. Since my bag didn't come with a scoop, I use a spoon and a digital scale to weigh out 10g. (5g is for saturating muscle, but studies suggest that 10g may also benefit the brain). It mixes easily in water, but I throw it in my smoothies.

It could be the size of the scoop. The BS creatine serving is 2 tsp, while this one only says "one scoop" so the scoop itself could be 2 tsp. We'll see when it arrives.

I still filter my creatine based on that. Currently on Nutricost. Alzchem's Creapure has a track record for quality and purity for like 30 years. Made in Germany. I mean, NSF and Informed Sport stamps are probably reliable indicators as well. But I dunno, if it ain't broke…

For this particular brand, I measured a flat scoop at 5g the first time I used it. I never bothered again after that. 5g+-1g is good enough for me.
