Oh, the Ironwolf pro deal might be even better!
I think they get a 5 year warranty instead of 3, and have better stats for heavy usage.

I wasn't planning on dropping $800 tonight but I need to build a new TrueNAS with four drives. $199 for 12TB WD Red Plus slick. Now I need to buy all the rest of the components to build the system.

good luck to anyone buying a HDD. Gonna take another chance but last time someone shook up the HDD b/c it was DOA when I tried to use it, after getting from amazon smh

Tempting but I rather get the Pro if I had the cash. Pros have better better warranty, faster speed and higher workload ratings/lifespans [westerndigital.com].

Still, my poor ars can't afford much at the moment and the Plus can be be directly financed at Amazon for $40 a month x 5 interest free.

Overall, I think I would be better off waiting for a Black Friday deal and deleting some crap to make due until then; half the remux I have are junk not really worthy of the space...
