What type to get for a parent that's recently bed ridden to prevent bed sores? Would this be good to start? Right now, I have her on a puffy,huge sleeping bag then the square, movability,cotton pad.

Is she truly not mobile? If so then this isn't what you need.You will want to look for a low air loss pressure alternating mattress or topper.It will be much more expensive than this but it will stave off bed sores etc.
