This seems like a decent deal. Can also upgrade to a 5070 and 32GB of RAM for a total of $1350. Is there a better deal on anything right now?

Active right now I don't think so. I saw a few deals posted today for laptops with the 5070 ti for close to $2k, so this for $1100 - $1350 is pretty good. Also you get that nice 2k OLED screens on these.

Previously, there was a deal on the Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (Ultra 7 255, 5070 8gb, 16gb 1tb, 2k OLED) for $1196 but its long dead.

IMO this is a lot of computer for $1100. I also do think, if you have the budget the extra 16GB of RAM and 5070 is worth it. 32GB of RAM is $100ish, and the 5070 is about 40% faster than the 5060. But non the less the 5060 would be a very capable 1080p gaming machine for many years.

The screen on this laptop is OLED? I don't see that anywhere, which is why I've passed on it so far.

Oh, and I'm kicking myself for not getting that Lenovo. "Surely there will be something better on the Amazon days, probably at Bestbuy..." I said to myself...

Thanks for the correction it's a higher end screen but not OLED. I start to get all these confused.

I did jump on the Lenovo for $1200 for my older son. But I am still kicking myself not getting the Acer Nitro 60 Desktop from Walmart (i7-14700F, RTX 5060Ti (16GB), 32GB RAM, 2TB) for $999 for my younger son. I did not want to buy something so far from Christmas, but I should have. Hopefully I will seem something equivalent closer to BF.

I don't think this is far off from the Lenovo $1200 deal. It is $150 more (5070, 32GB) but the Lenovo was 16GB RAM.

Ok, just making sure. Thank you for checking for me!

By the way, isn't this the same 5070 version of the laptop at BestBuy?: https://www.bestbuy.com/product/g...J3GWPQCCFK $1199

It appears to be, about the same specs as the Lenovo but without OLED. I am surprised that deal didn't get more traction, but some people note lower build quality than Lenovo.

Yeah, that one has to be the one that's going for $1350 on Amazon from what I can tell. 32Gb Ram. Only things for me are no Numpad and not 17.3". I can live without one or the other, but it would be nice to have one of them. I'm in no particular rush, so I'll wait for BF. But I'd say other than not OLED, this is better than the Lenovo.

Just find something you like and jump on it. Problem is you can always wait, there will always be a better deal as tech gets cheaper but at some point, you need to just get it.

Personally I would rather have the 15.1" Lenovo Legion 5 from Walmart for 950. The screen on it is ridiculously pretty, the CPU is slower but it won't hinder a 5060 in any way. 512 GB SSD, but has an extra open slot so can drop terabytes of space for the price difference.

But the build quality, warranty support and screen are all leagues ahead of Gigabyte for almost 200 less after tax.
