My person opinion. It's got very good suction but not as easy to use over carpets compared to newer models. You get tired easily and if your household have pets or ladies hair, expect hard time cleaning the brush heads. It's got sides where hair got stuck near rollers and basically got burnt. Dyson not wanting to accept the design flaw but replaced the head out of warranty twice. It's great for the price but I'd look for newer models if it were me

I ordered this bc our old Dyson motor died, new Bissell was driving the wife crazy bc of it's cons in comparison...this thing showed up and it's the smallest upright vacuum Dyson offers. Very misleading from the pics.

If you want a Dyson upright vacuum, and live in a home larger than an apartment, so yourself a favor and get one of the newer Dyson Animals. Even buy a refurbished if you choose. This thing is about half the size as the Animal 3. Fwiw

Edit: ordered Monday, arrived today, didn't even open the box just took it directly back to Walmart for return.

I agree. The Animal 3 can be purchased for around $250 at Target when on sale.

I don't know the difference between this and other models since I've had mine for 20 years. The price seemed attractive to me but I agree, I have difficulty with shag carpet in particular. I just extend the handle all the way back to maneuver more easily and that works well with the model I have.

Our Dyson started smelling like burning tires then the head burned out from a design flaw in the brush bearings for the head. It was only used for a single downstairs bedroom once a week. Dyson Ball Multifloor Origin Fuchia purchased from Walmart. Worst ever vacuum cleaner. Horrible customer service.
