This is excellent to get in the hobby and blows any Target/Walmart off the shelf RC cars out of the water. However, I will say once I got into 1/10 scale (I have both the Gorgon and Granite from ARRMA) I can't go smaller.

This is a great deal. For beginners, especially but even for people who just don't happen to have a vehicle of this size. It's a fun little rig. Not the fastest thing on the planet, but it's fun.

2S battery and brushed. Sure it's quality. But the lower quality is much faster with 3S batteries and brushless motor.

yeah. exactly. so many brushless models with ez replaceable parts for less now from Amazon or AliX during any of their many sales.

Almost any of the WL toys buggies have been around forever and have plentiful cheap parts. they've moved from brushed to brushless without prices moving much. I have the original 1/14 brushed that was so fast before speed was available at low cost in the US hobby side (think name brands)...(now brushless and even 3s lipo battery architecture is entry level as the first commenter noted).I recently busted the motor in gravel and the big 550 brushed replacement was like less than 10 off AliX too...

Also, I think the MJX hyper go trucks get high regard for their durability, price, and part avail. hope this helps. have bought too many over the years. my boy is 4 and learning.

This UDIRC 1611 is currently the best deal you will find on an entry level hobby grade RC. It is as good as the Arrma Granite Grom and it is a fraction of the price. UDIRC has 2 upgrade kits for it with brushless motors that will make it go 56 MPH for the high end kit. All of the replacement parts are on Amazon and it is an Amazing deal. It handles as well as the Arrma Groms and if you know RCs Arrma is king for mainstream hobby grade RCs. There are companies that make high end stuff that Arrma can't touch, but those cost a lot more.
For $59 you absolutely can not beat the UDIRC 1611. Nobody makes anything near the quality for the money. So if you missed this deal you aren't missing out entirely.
