Keep the box in case you need to return or repair it at any point, especially if you live outside of any service center areas. Samsung will not send you a new box.

Recently got the Amazon deal of G93SC for 879. Is it worth returning to get this?

I just ordered the G93SC from amazon.

As much as a fan as I am of their smart monitors, the 32:9 is the one I think it makes the least sense on.

The G93SC is glossy, has speakers, but no smart software.

Excellent point. I've learned this the hard way before too.

Why not? I've had mine for 1.5 years I think and could not go without it at this point. I loathe my office double monitors. 49 is too short for productivity imo so this is perfect.

Edit: just realized this was 49 rather than 57. Get the 57.

I have G95SC earlier version of this, got it for $968 with taxes Everything is running fine. Bought it on june 29th 2025. I think this one is Matte version with improved software and slightly brighter(1k nits). I have no black screen nor lines or dead pixel because I use auto pixel shift and less brightness with auto dimming on. Overall its good. After a while the screen size does feel small but again I already bought so no complain as my GPU can only handle that resolution. Other thing is 32:9 aspect ratio might not have enough contents for movies and stuff but if you find one it looks awesome with oled.

Have this monitor and love it! Great for both gaming and productivity.

Out of the box, you might have some HDCP handshake issues which drove me nuts the first month, but this has been fixed with firmware updates.

Tizen OS with smart apps is useless- it's a cool idea but apps run terribly- and imposes itself a bit with pop-ups when changing inputs, but it's only a minor annoyance.

For those asking about the difference between this and the G95SC-

They are very similar with the differences being:

1. G95C has glossy coating (more saturated images), G95D has matte coating (better at preventing screen glare).
2. G95SD has a slightly more efficient panel but running at same brightness. I.e. efficiency makes no difference to picture quality but running below spec like this theoretically helps to prevent burn-in.

Which one is better is mostly a matter of preference.

Edit: Fixed typo on model number.

This same monitor is going for $581 at Best Buy open boxed - fair condition. Just picked one up and it had very minor scuffs on the back with the clear protective sheet on the screen with everything sealed in the box. So far very happy with the purchase.

Very little availability, and you didn't even get the model right. You are referencing an older model.
