I have just the cubes. The grandkids have played with them a few times. Occasionally, when doing their homework, they will come across a math problem they just can't get. I will get the cubes out and explain the basics of what they need to do, and they can usually figure it out. Sometimes it will take a few minutes to get them to understand the fractions, but after a little instruction, they will get it.
