average dude game review:
8/10 and 9/10
If you enjoy XCOM's battles, you will enjoy these games. The core gameplay of both is a lot like the battles in XCOM, with the first of the series being an excellent clone sprinkled with nintendo dust.
SoH has a brilliant evolution of the battle system that I enjoyed even more than the original XCOM and the XCOM-clone battle system!

I didn't care for XCOM games but bought sparks of hope locally and got really hooked, enough so I bough kingdom battle after that.

Play Kingdom Battle first, the Sparks of Hope is a bit more open world and more enjoyable, but overall gameplay is the same. Season pass on these go on sale fairly often too

These are some of the best games on the Switch and you will enjoy playing them even if you don't normally like the tactics genre.

Great story lines, hilarious game, absolutely recommend.
$20 bucks for both is a great value.

I have played this some on PC and it's ok. after a few hours, the difficulty did not scale and still felt like I was playing a tutorial level for any other XCOM style clone. if you only own a switch and like this style game, probably a good choice. but, if you have a PC and have played XCOM, wasteland, miasma, etc- this is mediocre at best
