Hmmm only way to pressurize it is with the fill station. No built in pumping in the gun.

In case anyone's comparing, Kohl's [kohls.com] has this on sale for $16.24.

Multiple retailers carry this Nerf blaster - Walmart's price is by far the slickest.

I bought two of these when they were $4. they are actually pretty powerful, and sturdy. I would call it a full size water gun, but it's not huge. certainly worth $3.60!

Can you fill it up normal or do you have to use the adapter?

You have to use the adapter. This thing is basically just spring loaded. The pressure from the water hose (through the adapter) fills the spring-loaded tank, and then each press of the trigger shoots a little squirt of water until it's empty. I got one of these from Amazon Vine for review, and I didn't care for it. The gun feels too big and heavy for as few shots as it can hold. The squirts have more volume of water than a little manual dollar store squirt gun, but I found them to shoot about the same distance, so my opinion was that I'd rather have something light and agile than big and clunky.
At under four bucks, it'd be fine to have in the rotation, but I would have been upset spending retail.
