i had this one for a while, upgarded to the 7000 then upgraded to the 9000. It works well and is miles better than original tv speaker. Don't expect through the roof sound. Also, bose sounds are consistently selling on high bass which is not what sound is about. Sony tries for the treble and details. Thats where true sound is

stick with a bose 700. I tried both a5000 and a7000 from sony but I ended up with a bose 900.

I have this sound bar and there is a cover over 3.5MM ports and I was able to connect a Klipsch 12" sub to it and it rocks.. Love it in my office but if I didn't have the Klipsch sub hooked up it's not overwhelming with "build in sub" Not sure why they even say that.. But great sound

It's $297.83 at Amazon. Besides its generous return policy, is this Costco deal any better?

I found myself with several speaker options in my home that are good ($200 range) but always lacking in bass when you want it. Settled on a Samsung 3.1 with a dedicated sub and I'm much happier.Ergo if you can hook a sub up to this I wish I waited.

Wait, this has a hidden sub out port? That's awesome! It seems like so many decent systems are only using proprietary wireless sub connections right now, and I have a wired sub I'd like to pair with a new soundbar for about $400 or less, so this looks perfect.

They all kind of suck. That's why I'm tempted to get this soundbar, because the wired sub output is an easy way to fix the lack of bottom end.
