Some things to look for - oven proof components (no low-temp plastic lid handles).
Dots on the underside of the lid which act as nucleation points to redistribute condensed water over food.
General appeal as you often present food in the pot. This is where the name brands excel... as status symbols. That is hard to put a value on.
