It's basically a backpack for your car that can clip/mount to your spare tire or tailgate. If you're very outdoorsy or do regular supply runs it could come in handy to hold equipment or food. You could also think of it like a giant car pannier. If you can't see a good use you probably don't need or want it.

If your spare tire is not hanging off the back of your SUV this would be a waste of money. If you want to store firewood or emergency vehicle accessories an $8 duffel bag in the trunk will do the same thing. This has extra long straps designed to wrap around an exposed spare tire
