This bundle extends both Microsoft 365 Family and NordVPN Basic by one year, and the redemption process can also trigger extra months when recurring billing is turned on. It stands out as a way to stack Microsoft coverage and VPN service in one purchase, with some comparing it favorably to older family bundle prices and conversion tricks. The main caution is activation reliability, since Microsoft redemption errors and a few invalid key reports appeared alongside warnings about auto renewal settings. A useful option if you want to stretch existing subscriptions further.
People who want to stack subscription time, because turning on recurring billing can add three extra months and one redemption reached a 15-month extension.
People who dislike subscription auto-renewal management, because VPN billing can be sneaky and may require turning off auto-renew and removing payment details.
Some redemptions have failed with Microsoft account errors such as "TokenNotInRedeemableState," "Sorry, we can't set up your account right now," and "StackBlockedDueToOrderPendingChangeRecord." Microsoft Support said it was an ongoing issue and offered a one-month extension while it is being worked on.
Yes. A 12-month Personal plan can convert to about 9 months of Family time, and one report says the bundle also worked as a Personal-to-Family conversion with 12 months of Personal equaling 9 months of Family.
Yes. Adding a payment card and enabling recurring billing can add 3 extra months, and one redemption ended up as a 15-month extension after the bonus months were applied.
Yes. Auto-renew should be turned off and the saved credit card removed after activation to avoid unwanted renewal charges, especially for NordVPN and Norton subscriptions.
Question. I purchased 3 of these and when I went to add to my subscription I got an error saying I had to wait for my subscription to expire before adding. My subscription is managed by Amazon ( I know I screwed up!) is there any way around this or is it something new. I was able to add on the 15 month subscription a few years back. Thanks for any help

It's probably from using the subscription manager (Amazon, Antonline, there may be others).
I don't know how the 3rd party subscription managers work with the service. How does the m365 work with Amazon, do you still log into a Microsoft account to use the office apps, or do you access m365 apps thru the Amazon account?

No I go straight through the apps and OneDrive backs up my pictures automatically. I was able to add the. 15 month from Newegg last time but don't remember how I did it. Maybe the rules changed a bit with Amazon. Worse case I have to remember to do in next August
MS 365 Personal with NordVPN are on sale too for $55 so I went for that just in case BF ends up being a dud. Like $15 more than it was a couple years ago but its whatever I suppose. I got an extra month for turning on auto renew as well.

How many months would you get if you add the year of personal to a family subscription?
My Microsoft Family code from NewEgg couldn't be redeemed, got an error message saying "TokenNotInRedeemableState".
Mine has also been having issues all day. I purchased at approx 10:00AM Central time today and I'm still getting a "Sorry, we can't set up your account right now" with a more detailed "StackBlockedDueToOrderPendingChangeRecord" error when trying to activate the product on my Microsoft account.

Same error. When tried to talk to Newegg chat terminated abruptly with this below message "Unfortunately, we are temporarily closed due to an emergency"

Newegg chat is down right now, so I chatted with Microsoft Support. The representative told me that this is an ongoing issue and their team is actively working on it. I was offered a one-month extension while their team works this out. The microsoft chat process works pretty well actually, to my surprise.
