Dave's Hot Chicken's free slider is a solid, spicy chicken sandwich deal, but the main draw is the free food rather than the experience around it. The slider is described as tasty and about the size of a KFC chicken sandwich, and the regular menu is pricey enough that the promo feels especially valuable. The catch is the redemption process and crowds, with long lines, slow app access, and a reward that may need email verification or time to appear. It also seems limited to participating locations and may only work in the app, making it a convenience-sensitive offer.
The free slider can be redeemed in person using the app reward scan flow.
The slider tastes good and the sandwich size matches common fast-food chicken sandwich portions.
Online ordering and the app can reduce time for regular orders at Dave's Hot Chicken.
The redemption flow reportedly worked on Android for at least one attempt.
The promo can be app-only and may not appear when using a web browser.
The app can be slow or fail login, including getting stuck on passcode verification.
Redeeming the free annual birthday sandwich may require a separate in-person line and can create long waits.
The free slider may not be worth the trip when lines are long and gas costs add up.

Depends on time of day. 11 am to noon is bad. Line moves quickly at my location..10 min wait in line and 5 min for food.
Dave's sandwiching a lot on Single, Double, Hot Chicken, Giant Ham
Order online or through the app (I use Chrome) to save time regularly.
Drake's free annual birthday sandwich must be redeemed in person—they'll have a separate line for it.
