Be cautious from Home Depot and Lowe's on Major Appliance they only have a 48 Hour return policy .
so if you get a lemon you're going to have to go through the warranty and for some reason they can't get the parts you may have to wait for months.
Community Reviews
Bosch 300 dishwashers are praised for quiet operation, sturdy racks, capacitive controls, and generally solid cleaning, with some owners calling them long lasting. The deal math matters, though, since the listed price is really around $649 and installation and delivery can add about $200 unless free install and haul away are included. DIY installation is often described as manageable, but Bosch hookups can be awkward because the water and drain connections sit at the back right. The hybrid stainless tub also has a plastic bottom, and drying and app dependent features draw complaints, so this is best for buyers who value Bosch build and silence over convenience extras.
people who can get free installation and haul-away because multiple commenters say the deal experience depends on those extras, and one notes Costco removal/haul-away was quick with installers taking about 15 minutes.
homeowners replacing an existing dishwasher because DIY installation is described as manageable and "not noticeably more difficult" than installing a refrigerator with water connections when you're swapping an older unit.
buyers who want easier hassle risk than warranty because one commenter says returning the item is "much easier to return than going through warranty."
DIY installers who already have the right setup and tools because at least one commenter reports installation took about ten minutes with basic tools (for the physical-button version).
buyers who are relying on a stainless tub expectation because multiple commenters clarify the "hybrid stainless" tub isn't fully stainless-bottom is plastic while the rest is stainless.
seniors or anyone who doesn't want connected appliances because commenters say newer Bosch models increasingly force you to use the app to get full features.
people who need strong drying performance right away because one commenter reports very poor drying-everything is wet even after hours, requiring towel drying and leaving the door open overnight-and they regret the purchase.
buyers planning to install themselves if they aren't handy with plumbing/electrical because commenters warn Bosch installation can involve drain backflow, food disposal, and electrical work, and bad DIY installation can lead to costly flooding/repairs.
people shopping through big-box retailers for a quick return because one commenter cautions Home Depot/Lowe's may have only a 48-hour return policy, so if you get a lemon you may have to go through warranty and wait for parts.

If you paid with a credit card you always have a recourse.

Also I don't see why installation is a thing. It takes like ten minutes tops. Every single human in existence should be able to replace a dishwasher. You need a screwdriver and possibly two hands.
so if you get a lemon you're going to have to go through the warranty and for some reason they can't get the parts you may have to wait for months.
I got a Bosch500 for this price and thanks to renovation delays. It's past the return period and hope i don't end up with the same problem.
BTW the bottom plate is plastic. Under any kind of sheathing, all dishwashers will have some plastic base. Stainless is not very Sturdy for mechanical attachments and such. I'm fine with it.
