Breville Precision Brewer stands out for precise temperature control and strong brew quality, especially for full pots and larger batches. The brew temperature, bloom time, and flow rate get high marks, and the machine can automatically adjust for single cup or smaller volumes under 4 cups. It also runs well day after day, with hot coffee holding for several hours in the steel carafe version. The main drawbacks are the need to measure and refill carefully, leftover water in the basket, and a glass carafe that may not keep coffee as hot.
Common Questions (4)
It uses a large flat basket with a #4 cone adapter, and the drip stop can leave water sitting in the basket after brewing. That means you may need to dump the basket and measure/refill the reservoir carefully each day to avoid diluted coffee.
Yes. It recognizes when there is less than 4 cups (20 oz) of water and automatically adjusts brew settings for smaller volumes. For best results, fill the cup with fresh cold water and keep the level below the SINGLE CUP line.
The stainless steel carafe version stays hot for several hours and does not use a carafe warmer. The glass carafe version may not hold heat as well, and it is unclear whether it has a warmer.
It is praised for brew temperature, bloom time, and flow rate, and it can produce very good full-pot coffee. For single cups, cold reservoir water can make the result too cool, while room-temperature water works better.

I'm asking in earnest, other than price, why would you go with the Ninja? I have no need for the dual brew feature. If it's better for brewing coffee, I'd go with the Ninja.
