I have a power station but its internal battery is a 48 V, so when I run 12 V things you lose some efficiency stepping it down to 12 V. I also have a 12 V battery and I'll just often run those device devices directly from the battery and I get much more run time per ah of battery.

This 12V 280Ah LiFePO4 battery is being used as a compact power storage pack for RVs, campers, boats, trailers, and off grid solar setups. It stands out for deep usable capacity, lighter weight than lead acid, Bluetooth monitoring, and enough output for things like trolling motors, fridge backup, and even running an air conditioner for hours in larger banks. The main cautions are that it is not a car starter battery, charging and inverter setups need the right lithium compatible gear, and some buyers flagged seller trust and coupon issues. A strong fit for 12V storage projects that need real runtime.
Common Questions (9)
The final price has varied a lot because different coupons and PayPal discounts have worked at different times. Buyers reported totals around $240-$280 after stacking discounts, while others saw the code fail or the price rise to about $305-$330 when promos expired.
Yes. It is being used in RVs, campers, boats, trailers, and even for trolling motors, with reports of good real-world performance. It is a large battery, so fit and weight matter, and some users suggest a 100Ah unit may be enough for lighter canoe or occasional use.
Several buyers reported receiving their batteries quickly and intact, and some noted strong store ratings and positive order experiences. Others warned to be cautious because the store identity and refund process on AliExpress can be confusing, so buyer protection is important.
No. It is a deep-cycle power-storage battery, not a starter battery, and the 200A BMS is not meant for the several-hundred-amp cranking loads most vehicles need. It can run accessories, RV loads, audio systems, and other 12V equipment, but not engine starting.
It may, because 12.8V × 280Ah equals 3.584kWh, which is above the 3kWh threshold mentioned for the credit. The battery would need to be installed and used for home power storage by the deadline, and the credit details depend on your situation.
Use a proper solar charge controller for panels, and for power-station charging the input is often limited by the connector and voltage. A standard XT60 setup can be limited to about 8A/100W, while XT60i and higher-voltage series setups can allow much faster charging.
Runtime depends heavily on the AC's wattage and whether it is running full blast or just maintaining temperature. A standard 13,500 BTU unit running constantly may last under 3 hours, while a lighter 5A 120V load is roughly about 5 hours after inverter losses.
No. It usually needs lithium-compatible charging settings and may require a different charger, solar controller, or DC-to-DC charger, especially in RV or alternator-charged setups. It can work well, but it is not a simple swap from flooded lead-acid.
Yes, it includes Bluetooth, and the listed low-temperature protection stops charging below -7°C and resumes at 0°C. That makes it more suitable for cold-weather use than batteries without charge cutoff, though charging in extreme cold is still a concern for LiFePO4.

Im thinking of connecting it using alligator clips from 12v batt to xt60 to the back of the power station. not sure if this will work and advisable.
If you are not going to add any solar panels any time soon, get the smallest spec for the charge controller that matches your panels. You can always get a bigger capacity charge controller to add more solar panel, but in my experience, you won't get the same /similar spec solar panel when you buy later on, and you will end up losing the maximum capacity of the controller (and waste your money). Each brand & type of solar panel should only be wired to one charge controller, unless the spec are very close (+/- 1% tolerance on the Voc).
Huh? Nope. Extreme temps are challenging for LFP batteries. At least compared to lead acid type batteries.

With the XT60i, it will let you charge up to 15 amps, which would be 192 watts input (15amps x 12.8v). If you get 2, you can do a 24v setup and do up to 384 watts (depending on which ecoflow unit you have). You will need to buy a charger for the battery though made for LiFePo4 batteries.
I have a 100ah 12v battery with an XT60i connection hooked up to my river 3 plus and it charges at about 175 watts from the battery. I will be getting a 2nd battery soon to do 24v (River 3 Plus maxes out at 220v solar input).
Tons of you tube videos doing this.

Will it charge when I plug in the trailer to ac power?
Do I need to add anything?
If your alternator charges your house batteries you'll want to put in a DC to DC charger ~40amp inline with the supply coming from the alternator. This will limit the amount of current draw on your alternator and get the correct voltage for charging the lithium batteries.
As far as supplying your 12v it's plug and play.
Your shore power connect you should have an ac to DC charger just need to adjust the charging voltage for lithium.
Lithium batteries can generally discharge at extreme cold temps without losing capacity, but charging in extreme cold temps will damage the battery chemistry (forms crystals). Most modern lithium have cold temp cutoff for charging.
