The Dreame L40 Ultra stands out as a feature packed robot vacuum and mop with auto empty, auto refill, and a liftable mop, and the deal price made it unusually cheap for a current model. The checkout code DML40ULTRASD was needed to reach the lower price, and some orders shipped quickly, with a few buyers even upgrading from older or refurbished units. The main drawback was fulfillment trouble, including overnight cancellations tied to a technical error and inconsistent Amazon support. A strong deal if the order goes through and the price holds.
buyers who are willing to apply the deal promo code at checkout (DML40ULTRASD) because commenters said the listed price didn't reflect the real deal price until the code was entered during checkout.
people upgrading from an older robot vacuum like the N8+ because it was described as an "easy no brainer" upgrade once the price dropped to about $265 using a $20 Amazon courtesy credit.
shoppers who want to switch from a refurb to a new unit because one commenter said the lightning deal saved them $80 versus a prior eBay refurb purchase, letting them go from refurb to new.
people who can spend time contacting Amazon support if their order is cancelled because at least one commenter got the intended price confirmed and received a $230.04 gift card credit after a technical-error cancellation.
buyers who need guaranteed fulfillment on the first try because multiple commenters reported their orders were cancelled overnight due to a "technical error," suggesting some buyers won't receive the item even after ordering.
people who don't want to deal with confusing customer service or price disputes because one commenter described the worst Amazon experience, with reps giving conflicting explanations about the order price and being told to wait for the price to drop.
Some orders were canceled overnight due to a technical error, while others shipped normally and even delivered the next day. If yours is canceled, it may still be worth contacting Amazon because some buyers received a courtesy credit after escalation.
At checkout, open payment methods and select "use gift card, voucher, or promo code," then enter DML40ULTRASD. The listed price may still show $449.99 until the code is applied.
The deal price was low enough that it beat a prior $385 eBay refurb purchase and was described as cheaper than lower-tier current models in the same line. That made it an upgrade from refurb to new for less money.
Yes. One order was canceled after the sale price of $304.95 versus a current price of $534.99, and Amazon issued a $230.04 gift card credit after supervisor review.
, I thought it might be too good to be true. Mine says it will be delivered today, but it says being processed at carrier facility, not out for delivery yet, and it is pretty late in the day to not be on the truck for delivery. I know that they can recall packages if they want... and I think this was like $165 cheaper than they wanted, so I wouldn't be surprised. We'll see, sorry so many had orders cancelled, that sucks.
Thanks for sharing the deal! Mine got cancelled but I do hope you receive yours.
Mine just showed up, and if they want it back they will have to pry it from my cold, dead hands . I feel bad for those that didn't get one, but I am thinking that they will have some good deals over the next month up to black Friday (these things always have good deals on BF), just setup a deal alert and hope for the best.

Congratulations! But this was a price mistake, no Black Friday deals will even come close to this

same here, I contacted Amazon to see what they would say about the cancellation. Had the worst customer service experience I've ever had from them. The first rep insisted that my order was made at full price of $599, and then I could just go ahead and order again. The second rep said the same until allowing me to send a screenshot of my order confirmation. they connected me to a third rep who wanted me to do a phone call. The guy on the phone basically just said he could not help me and to wait until the price came down and then order again. he literally was trying to give me an econ lesson over the phone, talking about how price will come down as supply increases. I could not believe my ears. Never had an experience like that from Amazon before.

So I guess it's a lost cause trying to get them to fulfill it?

Amazon customer service has always been good in my experience, at least up until now. I've never been transferred around by them so much, and after getting such a runaround, I really expected at least an apology or some courtesy credit. Hopefully my experience was just a one-off. I would encourage you to reach out and try.

I just called in to ask for a credit... my current price would be $534.99 after tax and my price during the "sale" was $304.95, a difference of $230.04. The initial CSR I spoke with explained that my order was cancelled due to a technical error and they would be unable to honor the price or offer me any credits. I asked if their supervisor would be able to help and he insisted that his supervisor has the same tools as him and they would be unable to help. I waited on hold for a supervisor for about 10 minutes and the supervisor immediately picked up the line, confirmed that I did not cancel the order (and that they did), confirmed the price I was supposed to pay, confirmed the current price I would pay to buy one right now, and offered me a courtesy credit in the form of a gift card for a future purchase. My account has already been credited a $230.04 gift card. If it makes any difference, I made this purchase with my Amazon prime business account and the first CSR I spoke with introduced himself as an Amazon business representative. So I agree with timp, it's worth your time to call and try. About 30 minutes of time TOTAL and I received a $230 gift card.
Also an interesting note, I convinced my mom to order one for herself as well. She chose the slowest shipping option on "her amazon day" to receive additional cash back on her chase prime card. Her order fulfilled and shipped Monday night and delivered on Tuesday afternoon. So somehow her order slipped through the cracks even though it sounds like most of us either got cancelled or received it overnight with the fastest shipping.
I got this one from an older Dreame post, and that deal/coupon was discounting from the 599 price I think. When I tried it on the reduced lightening deal price, I made a new post for those that wouldn't see the updates to that older thread. I think that older deal was posted by staff, and because the code has "SD" in it, I am assuming that it was an affiliate deal worked out between SD and Dreame (and/or Amazon), but that is just a guess.

Yes. A $20 Amazon courtesy credit brought the total down to $265, showing the deal can be combined with account credits if available.
