No matter the price.
This monitor is plaqued with screen issues.
Just look up "Black Screen"
I'm sure that SOME people have issues but with a monitor where north of 85% of the buyers are reporting a great experience I think your review is a little hyperbolic.

The Odyssey OLED G9 stands out as a huge 49 inch ultrawide with stunning OLED colors, strong multitasking, and a glossy finish that some prefer over matte. The smart features, remote, and software input switching add convenience, and several long term owners report no burn in or image retention after heavy gaming or office use. The main concerns are black screen cutouts, occasional panel failures, and Samsung support that can be slow or frustrating. Text can look less crisp than IPS, and the smart TV style software is not for everyone, making it a powerful but finicky ultrawide.
Common Questions (5)
Burn-in can happen on OLEDs, but several long-term owners report no burn-in after 1.5 to 2+ years of gaming or office use. The practical protection steps mentioned are dark mode, a short screen-off timer, and letting the monitor run its built-in panel protection and firmware updates.
Some units can randomly cut to a black screen or show no signal, especially early on. Reported fixes include using the correct HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort cable, updating firmware, disabling Adaptive Sync, and turning Peak Brightness Off; a few units still keep the issue despite cable swaps.
The built-in smart TV software is a common complaint and can be annoying for people who want a simple monitor. It can also interfere with normal use, including alt-tabbing or input switching, though some owners like the remote and software-based input switching.
Open Box Excellent units can be missing items like the remote, wall-mount adapter, stand screws, and DisplayPort cable. Checking the box before leaving the store can prevent a return, and some open-box units have been found sealed with all accessories still included.
Reported open-box prices range from about $581 to about $740 out the door with tax, depending on condition and store. One buyer paid about $600 after tax on Amazon, while others found Best Buy open-box units for $581 or around $740 with tax.

damn chill dude! act like they stole your first born or something!
Turned out way bigger than I expected, will probably return it unless I find someone local in NY to sell it to.
My only personal complaint on it is the glossy screen coating. I would prefer matte personally. If you get anything on the screen, good luck cleaning it and it not leaving streaks. I think most people recommend only using distilled water and a microfiber cloth due to the coating.
For this price, I would recommend it, even with the "black screen" issue. YMMV.
As for those having issues with the screen blacking out, there are two things that helped me resolve that issue. One was to make sure you are using the correct video cables. Switching those out helped a lot. Second was to set Peak Brightness to Off. When I had it turned on to Low or High, whenever I opened a browser window the screen would flicker, and my assumption is that it was trying to compensate for the change in brightness on part of the screen and freaking out. Turning it off made the issue go away.
can trust.

I've had it since launch though, so over 2 years now, and it has no burn-in. Just keep in mind that you should do the usual stuff for OLED (the panel protection features are on by default, but turn on dark mode for your browser and OS, and set a short screen off timer)

wait until DP2.1(a/b) DP54(UHBR13.5) and DP80(UHBR20) OLEDs are more common.
HDMI2.1 + DSC doesn't 'suck' but it can be noticed; being forced to DP1.4+DSC, say goodbye to 240hz...
