"Super annoying" is an overstatement. All important aquarium equipment cleaning is a chore. The cleaning issue is a small price to pay for superior filtration and noise reduction compared to an HOB. Fluval cannisters are extremely dependable, easy to use, and simple to repair any long term use wear and tear. I have a 300 series that I've used for over 12 years with zero issues. I clean mine every 3 months with ease.

Extremely reputable and dependable brand. Been using their products for over 30 years. This size is suitable for 30-75g. No such thing as "over filtration" for your tank. Anything bigger than 75g, II would use 2 or look into the FX series.

I know Fluval is the gold standard, but I bought an FX4 on the last sale about 3 months ago and I've been a little disappointed. It's HUGE, louder than my cheap Amosijoy (which I can't hear at all), and I have an inexplicable air leak that I can seem to get rid of no matter how many times I reset the lid or hoses. Self-priming sounds awesome until you have a problem like this…. Also, I can't stand the intake screen/cage, which everything seems to get stuck on, including small food pellets, and when you remove the sceeen to clean (which is also a pain and requires two hands in elbow deep water), everything falls off back into the tank, so you're still skimming the tank for all the stuff that should've been sucked up into the first place. I don't have these issues with the Amosijoy, which I've had for 2+ years on another tank.

last time this deal was on i got 207 307 and 407. 307 and 407 were delivered used/open box by door dash.....weird. still great price and worth a shot.
