Received email for Peacock TV price increase starting next bill cycle (November).

I am currently on Premium for $1.99/month 6-month promo which ends next month. When trying to cancel, I got a 6-month offer for $2.99/month which I accepted. Not good compared to current 6-month promotion but given price increase, new offer is decent.

Good reminder to check for Amex offer and use it. I resubscribed on their monthly $10.99 plan since I wanted to watch a couple shows. I'll get 2 months free before my Amex offer expires in Dec.
Got the offer for $39 when i cancelled my $19 plan.

I have the Amex promo..but really not using Peacock much..will wait to see Black Friday deal. if not, will just skip Peacock.

My $19.99 for 12 months ends on 11/24/25 and I can do the student discount now for $2.99 per month for 12 months. I hope there is another BF deal. If not, the student works for us.

I just canc. mine ahead of the annual charge near the end of Nov. They offered the $40/yr but I didnt think it was worth it so I'll wait to see what BF brings or just go without for a while.

Waiting for BF also. To me it's worth $20 or $30 per year for Six nations rugby, Tour de France and NFL. Anything else is a bonus.

I cancelled my service and my subscription expires on 11/24. I declined $39.99 renewal offer but now I'm reconsidering it. Any chance to get the renewal offer back?

Got the $49.99/yr offer. Not sure that's worth it for me. May just end up canceling and crossing fingers for BF.

YMMV, check your Amex Offers; it brings the $39.99 price down to $29.

Peacock
Spend $10.99 or more, earn $10.99 back, up to 2 times (total of $21.98).
Expires 12/26/25
At $39.99 + tax - $10.99 Amex it's under $2.99 per month for 12 months. I assume as long as you activate an offer on Amex before the charge goes through, you'll get the offer.

I thought about waiting for another $20 BF deal, but with their recent price increases I find it unlikely they'll do $20 again. Maybe $25-$30 for a year, but predicting future deals is something. I'm bad at. $30 is close enough.

I went to cancel my current subscription and was offered a $50/year deal on the renewal. After paying $20/year for the past two years and seeing how others were getting a $40/year offer, I was a bit disappointed. But the family member who uses this subscription is a heavy Premier League watcher, so he was more than OK with it. Ultimately, it's a good value for him, and I am hoping to get another $11 off via my AmEx offer.

This is a pure speculation, but here are some guesses on how you can improve your chances of a better offer:
  • Don't be streaming anything while renewing.
  • Better yet, if you can, don't login into Peacock for a few weeks before you try to cancel.
  • My theory is that they target their offers based on your usage history. The more you watch it, the worse your deal would be. They may think that the more you are into it, the higher the chance you'll continue subscribing at higher prices.
I can give you 1 data point on usage history. I watch 2-3 movies per month on Peacock, and my cancel offer was still $39.99 for a year. I can justify a few dollars per month for a few movies, but $30 is very close to my limit on Peacock for movies or TV series.

When you say don't login... does having the Peacock Roku app logged in but not running count as logged in? Like you said, I think it's just speculation, and it's probably a more complex algorithm than just usage. In other posts, it seemed the few people who got $19.99 yearly or $1.99 monthly offers were coming from a more expensive plan.

How does switching between Walmart+ plans work? I thought I read something about once every 6 months you can switch. Has anyone gone through the process to see if it's easy or a pain? Does it require you to log into your Paramount or Peacock accounts or can it all be done on Walmart.com?

Since I don't recall seeing any deals on Paramount+, at the moment I use Walmart+ for Paramount and wait for 1 of the frequent Peacock offers.

You seem very confused how that works... You still have a 65" QD-OLED 5.2.4 Atmos home threater if it's hooked up to your laptop. Nothing changes except you no longer have a slow smart tv OS to deal with and don't have to watch ads.
I have a remote control and the apps on Google TV and Apple TV 4K are plenty fast. Not hooking a laptop up and having to fuss with that to avoid ads. They're typically 60-90 seconds and I use that time to check my phone. Flies by and is less than broadcast TV.

Just went to cancel my $20 Premium plan I had the past two years and their idea of a retention offer was $49.99 for 12 months, not the $40 or 6 months for $2.99 in this thread. LOL, nope. Other than the SNL documentaries and Poker Face - which is canceled - I can't recall watching anything on Peacock. Didn't even finish the 2nd season of Twisted Metal cuz it was just dumb as in dumber than it was tolerable last season.

I received the $39.99 offer after hitting the cancel button. Two things:
  1. You should sign up for it as well if your plan is renewing within the next week. If there is a Black Friday deal that comes along, and is better than the $39.99, you can cancel your plan before your renewal date and take the Black Friday offer.
  2. Like above, but if the Balck Friday deals isn't good enough for you, and the $39.99 isn't good enough either, simply cancel your plan before your renewal date and move on.
Two more items. I need Peacock for the local sports which cost me $24.95+tax a month on top of the plan. It sucks, but it's the only way I can watch hockey as I don't have cable. I also did this because AMEX will refund $10.99 making the plan $29 for me for the year. I don't see them offering a $19.99 deal like they did last year. Not with the price increases they just had.
For those complaining about Peacock's offering. So you have watched everything. Just move onto another service. No need to complain and say it sucks just because you personally no longer find it useful.
