Community Reviews

This compact folding Klein hex key set is best for keeping SAE, metric, and Torx bits organized in a small, neat package for occasional household use. The folding design is praised for reducing flex compared with some other 90 degree tools, and the lifetime warranty adds peace of mind. The main tradeoff is thickness and durability, since the keys are not removable and may not fit tight spots. Reports also point to loosening, stripping, and Torx wear under harder use, so it suits lighter tasks better than heavy work.

  • The folding hex keys can help keep a hex drawer organized and tidy.

  • The 7 or L-shaped design can reach set screws that thicker tools cannot.

  • The set can work well for smaller manual tasks when thread lock is used.

  • The folding style may minimize flexing and loosening compared with some similar sets.

  • The folding keys are not removable, which can limit access in tight setups.

  • The compact folding design may not fit where slim keychain-style Allen wrenches fit.

  • The set can require constant tightening and may strip easily under use.

  • Durability can be poor, including nut backing off and twisted T15 Torx flutes.

*looks down at horrendous mess of old keychain-style SAE and metric Allens floating around in my hex drawer, aka my "guess and check drawer"*

Yep, in for a set.

This is so true and exactly why I'm ordering a set as well.

Keep in mind, sometimes space is limited. Those keychain wrenches are super slim and fit in places these will not. 🙂

For occasional consumer use, I would go for the cheaper option in this category. For all-day professional use there are better options than either of these two choices.

Yaass!! It's requirement to have boozy tools in Malibu & LA if you want to land the boozy client jobs. So, only use your Ryobi tools on weekends at home.

I did the same - when the Amazon one was on sale - note that these are great for keeping things neat - BUT remember that they aren't removeable. last week, I needed to loosen a set screw on a towel holder, and my Amazon basics one couldn't reach it due to the thickness of the tool. I ended up going to my old set that's not as neat, but 100% fit right where it was supposed to. The 7 or L shape helps.
