The Samsung 85 inch QN90D stands out as a very bright mini LED TV that works especially well in sunlit rooms, with the 5 year Allstate plan often included in the offer. Pricing has swung sharply, with pickup and local store totals reported from about $1,299 down to $999, while delivery has stayed much higher. The main catch is the size and weight, since moving the 85 inch set can be a workout and pickup pricing has sometimes involved warranty charge confusion. A strong big screen if you have the space and can handle the logistics.
people who can handle heavy TV pickup because commenters warn the set is very heavy (around ~96-100 lbs depending on specs/size) and suggest renting a van for pickup if needed.
shoppers who are actively tracking price drops and can act quickly because commenters saw the price fall over time (e.g., from $1,899 down to $1,599 and then $1,499) and were able to reorder or get adjustments.
living rooms that are too bright for QD-OLED because this QN90D is described as a "super bright" screen and the commenter specifically chose it over QD-OLED due to brightness.
buyers who want a big-screen deal and can shop pickup pricing because multiple commenters report the 85" QN90D being much cheaper for pickup (for example $1,299.91 pickup in Dallas and $1,599 pickup in GA) versus higher shipped pricing.
buyers who need easy, predictable checkout for the advertised "included" warranty because one commenter says the $139 "included" warranty still gets charged when choosing pickup and they couldn't remove it after extensive CSR calls.
people who want a "wow" upgrade experience without setup because one buyer coming from a Sony 65 OLED reported mixed feelings, saying they still need calibration/testing and didn't feel wow'd about image/lighting quality yet.
shoppers who rely on delivery pricing to match pickup deals because a commenter says delivery was $1,899 while pickup was $1,299, and they felt price-matching delivery was unlikely.
The price has moved a lot, with reports ranging from $1,899 shipped down to $1,599 pickup, then $1,499, $1,399, $1,299.91, and even $999 in some stores. Several shoppers also reported local store-specific pricing, so the final amount depends heavily on location and pickup versus delivery.
Pickup orders can include a 5-year Allstate plan, but some orders still show the warranty charge during checkout and then refund it after pickup is completed. The practical takeaway is to verify the final pickup total and keep any reference number if the warranty fee appears.
Yes, it is described as a very bright TV and a strong choice for rooms with a lot of ambient light. One shopper specifically preferred it over a QD-OLED because their living room was too bright for OLED.
The 85-inch model is very heavy, with one shopper citing about 96 pounds without the stand and another noting the 75-inch version was around 100 pounds. Pickup can be awkward in a truck bed, so a van or extra help is a safer option.
Last week I logged in to see if I could get this TV at the $1500 price. It was still $1899. I checked tonight and the TV is $1299 for pickup only ($1899 delivery). The problem is the $139 "included" warranty gets charged if you choose to pickup, which is the only way to get the tv at this price. I spent the last hour on chat and phone with 6 different CSR to confirm this. There is also no way to remove the warranty online LOL!!! This is making me doubt purchasing from Sams. I am now trying to see if they can price match delivery but that is unlikely since it is $600 more.

Were you able to solve this? I'm about to order at $1399 for pick up. Thanks

Your sam's is an odd ball. The 5 year warranty should already be included for free when you choose pick up

Just bought one from sam's for $1,299.91
After tax total = $1,407.15
Thanks OP, At first I didn't want to spend over 1k for a TV but I think this was too good to pass up. This was Purchased in Dallas, TX.
Snagged one this morning for $1,199 (for pickup). Was told they will refund the warranty cost when I pick it up, and was given a reference number in case there are any issues getting that back. Will be about $1,280 in total

The QN90D screen can look extremely bright for well-lit living rooms.
Pickup pricing can be substantially lower than shipped pricing in some locations.
The deal can include a 5-year Allstate plan tied to the offer.
Some buyers can stack promos like Plus-member discounts on top of the base price.
Price and availability can change quickly, including drops to $999 that can force cancellations.
The pickup-only price can come with a warranty charge that may be hard to remove online.
The TV is very heavy, which can make loading and lifting into a truck difficult.
Image quality may require calibration and Blu-ray testing before it feels impressive.
