This Azocek inverter is a compact Milwaukee M18 battery adapter with one AC outlet, two 18 watt USB QC ports, one 30 watt USB C PD port, and a 400 lumen work light. Hands on testing confirms USB C PD works on a Pixel and the AC output can run around 100 watts, making it handy for small devices and quick charging. The main catch is that the title still says 18V, which is ambiguous, and the unit appears to drain batteries deeply without undervoltage protection. It looks best suited to light, short duration use with M18 packs.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. The listing is specifically for Milwaukee M18 batteries, and the title should say "for Milwaukee M18" because "18V" is ambiguous and can mislead shoppers with other incompatible 18V battery systems.

  • It has one AC outlet, two 18W USB QC ports, and one 30W USB-C PD Type-C port. That setup lets it charge multiple devices at once, and the USB-C PD port reportedly works with a Pixel.

  • It is rated at 220W, but real-world use appears limited to small loads: one report says it ran a device at about 100W, while heavier loads like water heaters or air conditioners would shut it down immediately. It is best suited for low-power items such as fans, LED strips, or phone charging.

  • Yes. One report says it drained a Milwaukee battery into deep sleep and required jump-starting with another M18 battery, so it may keep pulling power past a safe cutoff.

Wonder if this would power my water heater for like 20 minutes when i have an outage for power
Are you asking about the 220v water heater that has 55 or more gallon capacity that supplies your house or a little mug with a few ounces of capacity? Confused

If the former, don't look at this or similar items again - horrible things will happen to you and those around you. There's so much to explain and then the assumption that you will absorb that, that's it's just better for humanity for you to stay away from this completely.

aren't most water heaters gas and not require power unless the pilot light has gone out?
What are you trying to get out of this conversation? If you want to learn how the electronics inside a gas heater works, there's fantastic information out there outside slickdeals.

gas heater control systems assume 120v AC with 20A surge capacity for the heating element to kickstart the fire. This means you need a 2kW surge capable inverter or 12x the size of this one, to run it.

And no, "most" water heaters aren't definitely gas. There are lot of areas in the U.S. where gas appliances aren't sold anymore due to the ruling party's zeal for going clean. Also, a lot of large rental corporations don't want to deal with gas appliances. Also, people with solar use electric water heaters.

This is meant to power a tiny little 50w desk fan at most and that too for a little while. If this even was actually capable of 220W, the 18v battery that has a 40Wh capacity will last 5 minutes given the overhead of the AC-DC conversion.

What useful value will you get out of running a fan for 5 minutes? Confused

It's extremely surprising the interesting usecases people are coming up with for a grossly mislabelled toy.

If you're planning to go offgrid or climbing Everest after buying this, stay away. Please

I bought one and it drained my Milwaukee battery to deep sleep. I had to jump start it using my other m18 battery.
Yes, this is a grossly mislabelled, overpriced toy. You can buy this exact thing for $10 on Aliexpress.

What this means is that this lacks undervoltage lockout and just blindly keeps draining the battery even below specified cutoff. Not good - definitely a risk for those attempting to power their house with it because deeply discharged lithium ion batteries undergo irreversible damage inside and will catch fire the next time its stressed due to increased internal resistance.

I repeat - lithium ion fire isn't a joke. If you're planning to go offgrid or climbing Everest after buying this, stay away. Please

Just got this thing, PD works on my Pixel and the AC is working well at 100 watts. Seems like a smart buy if you have some m18 batteries laying around. Agree with the other comment that the title should say "for Milwaukee M18" rather than "18V."
No, this is the exact opposite of a smart buy. It lacks undervoltage lockout and just blindly keeps draining the battery even below specified cutoff.

For the same money you can buy a battery with built in USB-C/PD from Walmart.

Stay away from this grossly mislabelled toy, please. The only people who should buy this are those who can open it up and fix it, meaning they understand what this is, how it works and what it can and cannot do but those people won't buy these either because the same thing can be purchased elsewhere for 1/3rd the price.

Definitely should spend a little extra and invest in a small Ecoflow power station or Bluetti.
What's your definition of "a little extra"?

The cheapest Bluetti or Ecoflow 1kWh unit is ~$350 or 11x the price of this.

Again, I'm not saying you're wrong at all in your recommendation - I have said like 10 times on this thread already that this is a grossly mislabelled toy and a lot of the comments are terrifying, but this is slickdeals where a deal gets thumbed down if it was $0.01 more than the last FP deal.

Flat out wrong. It advertises a low voltage cutoff and I just tested it with my bench top power supply. Cuts off above 15v and even plays some little beeps.
This thing turns all of my M18 batteries that I ALREADY have into USB batteries and I only have to buy one. I don't need more batteries to worry about keeping charged.

Then this person either has a malfunctioning device or battery and so do other reviews or this unit might have different versions or poor QA: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=179751253&postcount=17

Just google M18 battery "dead" "fix" "charger blinking". Milwaukee is genuinely notorious for their batteries doing this on their own.

Can you show me? I see one review that says it drains the battery when off (mine doesn't) but nothing about it running down below safe voltage specifically.

It says right in the description that it has low voltage protection. Also, those batteries don't provide AC power. Please delete your post.

We were talking about a specific usecase - USB-PD and those batteries do that. Yes, they don't do AC but this adapter for that battery does: https://www.walmart.com/ip/HT-20V...5551739258

Each of the products I mentioned are from a well established company that stands behind their product vs. whatever this brand is.

On the matter of low voltage protection, you can read this entire post - one person who owns this even confirmed it isn't reliable.

Listen, for those of you who love this, go ahead and buy it!

but there are others who have tremendous expectations from this little toy and I would very much like them not have have them burn their house down.

No you weren't, the post you were quoting mentioned PD and using 100w of AC, then you posted false information about this having no undercurrent cutoff and posted some batteries with only PD.

The factory inverter units have protection against over-draining. I'm going to pass on this.
