This 77 inch LG C5 OLED bundle stands out for premium 4K picture quality at a sharp Costco price, with free shipping and five years of total coverage included. The panel brings 120 hertz native refresh, Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, four HDMI ports, and LG's webOS 25 platform, making it a strong fit for movies and gaming. The main appeal is dark room performance and the long warranty, especially compared with older 77 inch OLED pricing. The caveats are OLED brightness in bright open rooms, burn in concerns, and reports of 2025 green tint issues, so it suits a more controlled viewing space.

  • The included Allstate 3-year protection plan plus the 2-year manufacturer warranty provides five years of total coverage.

  • Free shipping makes the $1999.99 Costco member price easier to complete without extra delivery cost.

  • The webOS 25 smart platform and α9 AI processor support modern 4K upscaling and HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HDR10.

  • A prior Costco deal experience with 5-year coverage indicates the OLED can keep looking like new after purchase.

  • OLED performance can struggle with ambient light in an open living room compared with dark-room viewing.

  • OLED may be more sensitive to viewing conditions, since it is mainly positioned for dark-room movie and TV use.

  • The 2025 OLED line is reportedly prone to a green tint screen, which may explain unusually large discounts.

  • Buying from the LG store may involve back orders that charge the credit card while delaying shipment for months.

I can see that this is a very good price, and everybody has their own priorities, but I would not purchase a large, relatively expensive TV from a vendor that is not local. If something goes wrong, it is easy to return this to Costco and get a refund, particularly within the first 90 days. Wrt the LG store, I have heard horror stories. Also, is the LG store open for everyone, or is there a "secret handshake" involved? But as I said, to each their own.

Most people will be happier with a mini LED TV these days. They are cheaper, bigger, brighter, and have fantastic backlight control. The combo is more money in your pocket, better average picture quality in your day to day, a larger TV, and no burn in risk.
The only place OLED wins is watching movies and TV shows in a dark room. And since it's also smaller you'd need to be closer so likely not in your living room if you have a suburban American house, it would be in a more intimate room, like a bedroom.

For your living room TV to watch sports or shows while cooking dinner from across the open floor plan kitchen living room combo area, go mini LED like a nice TCL or Hisense model

Considering the issues the S90F, I'd say this
All 2025 OLED's are prone to the dreaded green tint screen this year. That's why we've been seeing incredible discounts all year long.

Can you recommend a TCL or Hisense model?

I was thinking the same thing. We paid $3200 for the 77" LG C1 OLED 4-5 years ago. Great TV at the time and still looks great in a dark room. It's in a open living room now and can't keep up with the ambient light. I was upgrade shopping last year and don't remember the 77" C4 being near $2K.
They will keep dropping OLED tech is very efficent. will become the standard within 10 years. That's the thing it has over mini led for sure
