This Greenworks Pro electric pressure washer stands out as a strong homeowner option for cars, patios, decks, and light concrete cleaning. The brushless motor, 25 foot kink resistant hose, five quick connect nozzles, and included soap tank add real value, and the included hose is praised as unusually nice. The main quirks are a delayed ramp up when the trigger is pulled and confusing specs, with the listing bouncing between 1.2 GPM at 2300 PSI and higher max flow figures. It looks especially appealing at the sale price, though larger jobs may feel slower than a gas washer.

Common Questions (5)

  • The unit is listed as 2300 max PSI with 1.2 GPM at that pressure, while some listings also show 2.3 max GPM at 100 PSI. The practical takeaway is that it has strong pressure for residential cleaning, but the lower 1.2 GPM means rinsing large areas will be slower than on higher-flow gas washers.

  • Yes. It has enough output for cars, garage doors, patios, decks, siding, and similar homeowner jobs, and one setup with a 40° tip was used successfully on two cars, a garage door, and a back patio. For car detailing, a 3.5 mm or 4.0 mm 40° nozzle can bring pressure into a safer range.

  • Yes, it does not hit full pressure instantly; the pump can take about 2 seconds to start and then ramps up. That delay is mostly a nuisance for soap use and trigger response, but it is still reported as powerful once running.

  • It can be used carefully on brick with the right nozzle, starting at 40° and moving to 25° if needed; the turbo nozzle may be too aggressive on older brick. For wood, pressure alone is not the right approach and can gouge fibers, so chemicals and a gentler cleaning method are safer.

  • It comes with a very nice kink-resistant hose that is described as a high-quality Propulse Uberflex-style hose, and the warranty is listed as 3 years on the tool with a 10-year motor warranty. That warranty coverage is a major reason it is favored over some competing deals.

I saw that CAT, the issues with that it is a no-name pressure washer with CAT logo slapped on it as Caterpillar makes no home pressure washer. And the problem with no-name washers is that their PSI numbers are usually fake. With that it may and should work totally fine for your needs, and Sam's warranty is a great bonus. Heck, I still have 1400 PSI washer from 2008, and it will do whatever GW washer will do, just slower.
FYI the CAT labeled pressure washer available at Sam's is manufactured by Active which is a highly reputable manufacturer known for their notorious Active 2.0 pressure washer everyone is obsessed with. Don't take my word for it, look it up.

I can't find any info on that. The cheapest Active is $350+ with totally different parts, maybe they are in business to make 50 bucks washers, who knows

Beware, there are many bad reviews on Amazon for this pressure washer (among many good reviews of course). A lot of unhappy reports of the product breaking down after only light usage. The motor, the hose, and the wheels specifically. Lots of plastic used. And no mention of 'Pro' on the product itself, even though it's falsely advertised as such. Sealing washers strangely missing on quite a few units. Terrible customer service experiences - you need to wait for hours on a hotline to speak to rude reps. (They do seem to send replacements out though if you pass the hotline endurance test.) And the very unusual issue of the pressure not starting for several seconds, which wastes lots of soap and water... At the same time though, this seems like a crazy good price. It's literally selling for twice as much on Amazon right now. So you're getting a lot of high powered bang for your buck if your unit isn't one of the not-so-rare lemons... With all that in mind, I would definitely buy it off eBay as one commenter suggested, so that you can get the 3 year warranty for only $10 more... Personally though, I think I'll pass. I'm willing to pay more for something with better dependability.

are these safe to use on old brick houses?
If you aren't sure, than don't attempt to tackle this yourself and hire a professional. Too much pressure can damage bricks and blow out mortar. Decent masons are in demand in my area and hard to get to come to a small job. I get called a lot by people who damaged their homes, walks, or bricks asking me if I can fix it. Generally speaking I can't.

If you are worried about how much pressure is being used, you would need to do several things to ensure the proper pressure is being applied. Those items cost money, which could be used to hire a professional.

There is only 1 way to determine pressure, get a gauge. after you know what your flow is (gpm) by doing a bucket test, go to a nozzle selection chart and then buy the one appropriate for your job. That is what professionals do. Hacks and people that don't know what they are doing do other stuff.

I wash stuff all the time, I rarely use more than 800 psi out of the gun. Chemicals and volume do the work. Water doesn't clean anything, it just pushes dirt around.

I am also some rando on the web, so do your own due diligence.

Just ordered. Need to stain the fence, we'll see if this can get the boards clean.

Sodium metasilicate and then a neutralizing agent will clean almost every wood surface. There are lots of chemicals to use from sodium precarbonate (oxygenated bleach) to sodium/potassium hydroxides (strippers). This item won't clean wood, all it will do is remove decayed wood fibers, take forever, and possibly leave gouge marks in the wood if you aren't careful and keep your spacing.

I do wood restoration, so this is just an overall generalization. I wouldn't know for sure until I looked at your fence if it is completely boogered up or just needs cleaned. I am not offering my services nor soliciting work here.

How does this compare to Westinghouse ePX3100 or ePX3500? I don't why Westinghouse is also so much lighter than most other typical electric pressure washers.
Yea, I almost bought this Greenworks model but it's nearly twice the weight of most other electric pressure washers. Can anyone confirm if that 45lb weight in the specs is real? Most others are close to 25lbs.

I bought this as an alternative to my gas-powered washer (2700psi @ 2.3gpm) that is so loud it irritates my neighbor and I have to wear hearing protection.

This Greenworks is obviously worse than the gas-powered washer, but it's also quiet enough that I don't think my neighbor will care, nor will I need earplugs. Hooked up to my 15" driveway cleaner, I have to go about half as fast as I can with the gas-powered washer on each pass, but the time savings are probably equaled by not having to change oil or drive to buy gas for the new washer.

I'm pleased with the purchase, all in all. I'll likely get rid of the gas-powered washer.

I own this version for over 2 years and has been great. Got another to store as a backup. This thing is normally $250-275 regular sale price. For $125 its a no brainer. Only thing is weird about it is the start up has a 2 sec delayed to turn the pump on but very powerful. The hose it comes with is very nice.

Just bought it from Best Buy's app for the same price and they just so happened to give me a $10 off coupon. Came out to $127.35 after tax for store pickup.
MVP comment here. I checked it out in the app and while comparing it to a $109 Costway washer the $10 cert popped up. I had trouble adding it to cart in the app but opened it on my PC and it all went through. Thanks.
