Never heard of the name. Better buying from Costco or a recognizable brand instead of a cheap Chinese knockoff. Especially having to buy filters

"Rare Energy Star Air Purifier" Idk… is it rare at $50? Sure I guess but it just sketches me out

I'll try it but if it's crap it's going right back. I may be an Amazon seller's worst nightmare 😂

I would tread *very* carefully on these sort of filters that do not list a single actual rating for how much of *anything* they remove. CADR ratings are industry standard and there are *no* google results for this model (or even for this mfg at https://www.ahamdir.com/room-air-cleaners/ which has no shortage of mfgs including ones I've never heard of). Additionally there is no listing for this mfg at the energy star site ( https://www.energystar.gov/produc...rs/results ) This is very likely snake oil and you should not trust it with your indoor air quality.

However, the EPA and Energy Star official websites seem to have encountered some problems. Their announcement stated that "Effective October 20, 2025, due to the lapse in appropriations, the lists are static and not being updated." This may be a problem with government funding. Everything still needs to be proven.
