Haven't been keeping up with laptop grade specs and need to get a good day to day use laptop for in laws with hopefully - great battery life and performance secondary. Lack of backlit keyboard bit of a bummer but rest of specs seems decent for price. Too bad though it doesn't appear to have USB C charging. Thoughts?

Great deal overall for the most of the people. CPU was released in Jan 2022 and RAM is DDR4 3200. No back-lit keyboard & lack of usb-c charging is nonsense in 2025

This is a good deal - stop nitpicking - you can't have it all for $400 - if you're looking for an office desktop replacement this is more than adequate for most people - memory is also upgradeable.

Bingo. I understand if people want to nitpick but doing that for a $400 laptop c'mon now, it's a little uncalled for with those over the moon expectations.I would expect for them to do that with a $800+ laptop.

Only ONE USB C port with no charging and no video in 2025?

C'mon. It only has one HDMI port. So you won't be able to hook this up to a dock and have two monitors, power, etc.

I have a 2019 laptop that didn't cost $800 that has all that... And backlit keyboard, touch screen, etc.

Kudos for the expandability but big miss if you want to use this with even a mid market dock.

And thanks for posting a deal with complete information. I had having to Google specs on deals other people post.

That makes sense. I considered that but was too lazy to check it.
