Perhaps if Microcenter is not near you but I'd take brand new one for $60 more.

Weird how I can't find it in the app but the link takes me right to it.

Grabbed one, gonna sell my 7900xtx for it. Rather have lower idle power draw, power usage and stability in my nr200 SFF case. Plus dlss/ray tracing performance is nice

I'm very tempted to snag one of these at this price, but the "refurb" label is giving me red flags.

You are loosing out on warranty to save not even $100 vs. a new one. It is a gamble.

Is the power draw really that bad on the 7900 XTX? I already own a 9070 XT, but was considering buying the XTX from NewEgg since some of their selection has reduced below $800 in price.

Why do you want to replace the 9070 XT with 7900 XTX. I hope its not gaming cause the 9070 XT is the better card for gaming.

depends on the model. The high end xtx aibs can pull more than the 4090 wheras the Founders edition pulls much less just a bit over the 9070 xt(in fact the high end 9070 xts pull more than the fe 7900 xtx).
Overall for 800 there is almost 0 reason to buy an xtx apart from modded games with lots of textures and vr.

I never said I was replacing my 9070 XT. I was considering buying a spare card being the XTX since I'm a PC hobbyist and I still own some GPUs dating back to 2004, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2020, etc.

It's a really great card for rasterization performance for the price. But for me, my reference model 7900xtx gets too hot in my nr200 full of noctua fans. I have it using -10% power limit, mines only stable down to 1125mv on the core for an undervolt as well. Even after doing all of that it pulls around 300-320w under load. With +10% power limit it pulls over 400w. Mine was bought at launch so maybe I just got a weak chip

i recently got the 5070TI (with the 10% amazon credit card cash back, so about 675) to replace the 6800xt.
while it sounds like the 5070TI is just marginally faster than the 6800XT. there is a more that meets the eye. the 5070TI uses, in my case, about 70% of 6800XT uses power wise during gaming session, and the system is much quieter during the gaming session.

also, most of the game i pay support DLSS and ray tracing, i am getting about triple the frames in certain games (40fps to over 100 fps). i also had some issues with AMD drivers in certain games (where the system would just freeze) that never came up since the upgrade.
