I bought mine in 2021. Love my purchase. Still use it daily in the kitchen. It's great for following along a recipe videos as you cook, a cooking timer, listening/ watching podcasts in the morning, weather. Google is also launching an AI upgrade on all nest devices this year.

the end of guaranteed support on these is march 2026. thats not saying support will definitely end then, but google is then no longer obligated to support it. and with googles track record, i would expect maybe another yearish? personally, im going to wait to see how things unfold till i get anymore devices.

Since it's google, probably not long. As much as I crap on crApple for their locked down over priced BS, they don't abandon products quickly like google does.

6 years doesn't seem quickly to me. That is how long I have had my hub and hub max.

I've been using a hub and 2 hub Max's for a few years, no complaints. People have been talking about Google ending support for these since they were released. I'm not saying they won't ever be EOL, but with Google ADDING features to Nest devices lately it doesn't seem like they're going anywhere in the short term.

Way better. I have both. Admittedly, first Gen of the show, but it gets super slow with each update until I had to factory reset it 7 years later. I don't have any integration with it because I think the commands are garbage. But that's subjective. Speakers kick butt tho. Way more powerful than the awful speakers in the Google hub.
