Folks are pretty unhappy with the AI upscaling on this I believe.

I'll always give a thumbs up to Wallace and Gromit. If I didn't already have the Blu-ray, I'd for sure be buying this.

I have loved LOVED this series and Shawn the Sheep for long time now. They are clean and very funny.

BTW, go ahead and watch a video on how stop-motion animation is made...is it unbelievably laborious.

There are some screenshots showing how bad it is on text. Nevertheless, AFAIK the BD itself does not suffer from AI scaling and this is/was the cheapest way to get the BD, though apparently Amazon has the BD alone for $10 right now. Is it worth an extra $3 to have a 4K disc with an AI upscale that sometimes looks bad and ruins text?

Knowing this amazes me that some people still make stop motion. The Nightmare Before Christmas has some good extras showing this too. Someone has to put on a different mouth (with a # in a case) precisely timed depending on what part of a word is being spoken. IIRC they made it so the computer takes spoken voice and converts it to the #s so the people know what mouth to put on during which frames. You'd think it would be easier to do it with traditional computer animation made to look like stop motion maquetes but actually done entirely in the PC, but that would be cheating and there are a few stop motion purists left.

Is this a YMMV situation, I'm seeing it for $20.99 or is the deal deal?
