What would be a comparable laptop with expandable RAM slots or 16GB soldered?

If you don't want to be tethered to a power cord don't bother with this.

They've downgraded from the previous generation. Same on the Yoga line from Lenovo.

HDMI 2.1 (yes 4K 60) --> HDMI 1.4b (can't do 4K 60)

I find it hard to believe Intel would downgrade from being able to handle 4K60 in this day and age in their platform, so I wonder if Lenovo/other OEMs have chosen a cheaper chipset.

2025, but people are still complaining about 8GB not being enough, which is even worse than 16GB not being the standard. This is a $400 laptop, people, learn to keep your expectations realistic. Feel free to link any other convertibles at this price for these specs. 3-4 years ago, you would have gotten these specs for $600-$700, so at least you're getting them now in sub-$500 and $400 laptops.
I have been using an Acer Spin 3 with 11th Gen i5, 8GB RAM for the past 3-4 years, which I got for $700 when it released, and from it I post all the deals I have posted so far. Not once have I felt the need for more RAM because I knew what I was getting the given specs for.

I am sitting here typing on my ACER refurbished spin 3 with 8gb. 10th gen I5. I did upgrade the hard drive from 256gb to 2TB recently. I can't remember all the specs at this point. Its been a fantastic laptop for my needs. I use it solely for web based applications so take that for what its worth. It has been excellent however! Love the touch screen and the ports on this device.
