Bambu Lab's sale stands out as a strong entry point for easy, reliable printing, especially the P1S at $399 and the A1 or A1 Mini for beginners. The ecosystem, app printing, and MakerWorld integration make setup and model access feel simple, and the printers are praised for skipping bed leveling and tuning while delivering consistent first layers. The P1S gets extra credit for enclosure support and dependable long runs, while the A1 series is favored for easier nozzle changes and flow calibration. Main caveats are AMS pricing and packaging, since the combo often includes the first generation unit, some accessories ship separately, and multicolor printing adds waste and time.

Is the deal over? I see the P1S combo for $650 not $550 (750-100 coupon).
The deal hasn't started yet. It starts on the 28th

Does anyone know if we can buy the 4 color combo thing separately?
Yes, you can buy the 4 color combo thing separately, but it will cost more buying them separately than buying them together as a package.

What are the chances that the P2S will be available anytime soon? I was kind of set on P1S with AMS 2 but then they announced the P2S. Do I buy the P1S/AMS 2 for $659 or wait for P2S/AMS 2 for $799? Well if $799 is the actual rumored price in the US Thanks all

I'm thinking about starting. Do you think it's worth getting the 4 color print thingy?<br />I just want to print some useful things and some fun things.
I would get the combo that comes with the AMS. You will end up wanting it later and it costs more buying it by itself. I'm up to three connected to my P1S.

What accessories would you recommend getting that are on sale for BF?<br />
<br />
What about filaments?
As far as filaments, maybe a roll or two of Bambu to get you started as it's a bit easier for a newbie as the AMS (if you get it) automatically reads Bambu filament. Otherwise you enter it manually which takes just a few seconds. Their filament is good, but you can get just as good filament and even better for less money with other brands. Just keep your eyes open on SD for filament or create an alert.

As far as other accessories, you don't really need to buy anything else to get yourself up and running. Any of the printers sub $1k here, don't come with a hardened nozzle, so if you plan on printing with any abrasive filaments, you may want to pick up a hardened nozzle.

It's such a difficult decision... Just about $140 more and get the P2S when it is launched in the US with a possibility that it is more than $799, or get the P1S combo in two days....

Wisdom says that patience is a virtue and also to strike when the iron is hot. Is this deal hot enough?

$400 is really a good price for P1S. I'm not sure if I should jump on it (1st 3D printer). Any reason to get the Combo if I don't need the multi color print?
First, I would say that you will probably WANT the multi-color print sooner rather than later.

Second, the AMS basically had 4 spools loaded at all times - so when you slice a single color file, you choose what slot to pull from.

If you don't have an AMS, you have to load and unload spools manually. Clicking a button to unload, wait till it heats up nozzle and cuts filament - then you pull the spool off. Then you load the next one on, it'll heat the nozzle, extrude some, you have to check if it extrudes and click OK. It definitely cuts time and makes things much easier. That being said, there are some filaments that cannot go into an AMS like abrasives and TPU.

No one answered you, but this is a super important question. Disclaimer: I'm not a scientist and I haven't done any measurements, comparisons, or anything of the sort. I'm just a guy who's been printing for a couple of years. Don't blame me if you grow a 3rd arm.

You will have VOCs (volatile organic compounds, or "bad fumes") with every printer just from the nature of heated, broken down materials to print with. In general PLA and PETG are safe enough for you to be in the same room as the printer. The fumes I smell are little to none from my P1S, although mine is enclosed and I have HEPA filters on the vent fan in the back. I also have the Bento Box mod if I'm printing other materials besides PLA, PETG, or TPU.

The "S" in ABS and ASA is styrene. If you have ever thrown a styrofoam cup into a camp fire, you know how terrible those fumes are. You should definitely not print ABS or ASA in an occupied room without some serious air treatment. People who print stuff like this have a whole another vented enclosure around the printer to contain the VOCs. It's going to be much safer to do this in a shed or a vented garage. Same with resin. You should do this in a shed or vented garage, as well as using nitrile gloves and masks to handle it after the print.

Should you protect yourself even with PLA and PETG? Sure, but microplastics have permeated every aspects of our lives, and you have to do the calculus to determine what is an acceptable risk to you. I've accepted to have my PLA and PETG prints going in the same room as me. The carbon filled nylon prints I've done used the Bento Box mod and I didn't smell any fumes. I will not print ABS or ASA unless my printer is in a garage or shed.
Thank you so much for the reply - I know coming to this post and asking about this, its like going to a car forum and ask about greenhouse gases. -lol -

It's a valid concern. I actually moved all my printers to my garage just to be sure. You can run air filters and exhaust systems to mitigate exposure. My guess is if the printer isn't in a room you spend all day in your exposure levels aren't that bad.
I'm making room in my garage - will run an exhaust pipe through the wall. thanks for the response.- how much of an impact would wind draft from the exhaust have on the plastics as it cools? I recall on my old 3d printer it would cause the corners to lift sometimes, due to uneven layer cooling. Is this still the case with the newer enclosed printers?

I'm not the person you are asking, but it depends on the material. With the P1S, there is an internal fan that is blowing on the print for proper cooling. With materials like PLA and PETG, it's even recommended to open up the lid and door for the print. With materials like PA6-CF that I've printed with, the P1S needs to be fully closed up to ensure the air temperature is hot enough for it.
