Swanson chicken broth at this price is a strong bulk pantry buy for holiday cooking, with the 18 pack working out to about 3.23 cents per ounce and beating Sam's Club pricing. The lower Subscribe and Save total has landed around $15 to $15.55 for some orders, and the broth is being used for Thanksgiving recipes and other boxed stock needs. The main drawbacks are the high sodium, 860 milligrams per cup, and some orders arriving with limited expiration windows, including June 2026. Delivery fees and subscription limits also affect the final value.

 • Subscribe & Save orders can price out lower than the listed $18.62 total.

 • Some orders show flexible checkout totals that come in below the headline deal price.

 • The broth can fit Thanksgiving cooking needs with a timely delivery window.

 • The deal price works out to a lower per-ounce cost than Sam's Club options.

 • Some checkout flows lack a Subscribe & Save option and add delivery fees, raising the effective total.

 • The sodium content is high at 860mg per one-cup serving, which some shoppers find unhealthy.

 • Expiration timing can be too short, with received items expiring in Jun 2026.

 • Subscribe & Save may have a limited subscription quantity that reduces deal attractiveness.

What sorcery is this?

Seriously, how did you do that - to bypass the quantity limit?
Link takes you directly to S&S next delivery checkout. S&S has different quantity limit (it seems that it is twice the limit of regular order)

People are talking about Costco, if you have a membership, try their chicken broth. Best I've ever tasted. Used to sip it right out of the fridge before I started making a gallon of my own at a time.

For most brands (and I expect this to be one of them) better than bouillon is cheaper and might even be better. Most boxed stock is just garbage.

If you have a Lidl in your area, the house brand broth and stock is often this price when on sale. I'm sure you can buy at this price around the holidays and not need to buy as much. Aldi is also similar priced. I think it was in the $1 range at lidl in the summer when I last purchased broth. I have about 12 in the basement because of that ale.

They've also got the Swanson Beef Broth - 50% less sodium - for $.82 a carton after 15% S&S.

Doesn't seem to qualify for the $10 off $30, but still a great deal!
You have to pay for delivery or sign up for delivery program with this so that kills it for me.

Good price if you prefer boxed/canned. I started using reduced sodium Better Than Bouillon Chicken Base from Costco that makes more for less money, lasts forever in the fridge, and I no longer have to store gallons of broth that I got a deal on. Tastes fine to me.
I honestly think Better Than Bullion tastes better than most boxed broth (including Swanson).

This is the real slickdeal. Keeps forever in the fridge. One spoonful makes a whole pot of broth.

 • Just got 18 of'em for $20.14 (S&S)
 • Even using 9 before expiration evens out (and we might actually use that over Thanksgiving alone)
 • Seriously, if you're even considering it, lock the order in and decide before your next delivery (that's what I'm doing)

I purchased some Oct 3 and they expire Oct 30, 2026. Not sure when they were packaged, though.

37% sodium. 😯 Costco chicken stock is 18%.
Think of all of that salt you're missing out on by buying Costco!
