but can't I just buy this one now, and then order another one on Black Friday and when the new one arrives return it with the receipt for the original one?
It's the same product and everything
But if I had to get another laptop, I'm thinking I would go with the Legion 7i. Pricier but with a better build, I'm willing to spend the extra money since the IdeaPro 5i has proven to be so dependable, I don't mind going a little more upscale.

Looks like soldered RAM
Can anyone comment on someone who owns one of these what the battery life will be? I think you can turn off the GPU and run on the iGPU and get 10 hours or more run time.

How is Legion vs Ideapad? Obvs this one has 32gb & 1tb. I bought the Legion, is it worth the return swap?
This hybrid computer is a mix between a lower powered ultra portable computer and high-powered productivity gaming computer.
As an example, the Legion laptops are around 5.5lbs where the Ideapad is around 3.5lbs. The Legion is about 1" thick where the Ideapad is .65" thick. Ultra portable computers get down to below .6" and below 3lbs.
Additionally, you can turn off the 5050 in the Ideapad and get a reported 10 hours or more of run time. I think at best you could only get 4 hours of run time or so on the Legion. Additionally, you can power and run the Ideapad off a usb C cable/battery pack where the Legion you would need to bring to big power brick to charge it.
You do give up some portability and battery life of the Ideapad vs a ultra-portable computer but you get a RTX 5050 and a powerful CPU.
Don't take this all as fact, as there might be some variation, but it sums it up fairly well.
Get the Legion if you want a dedicated gaming/productivity computer that won't move much and usually have access to a wall socket.
Get this Ideapad Pro if you want a do it all well (travel, portable, movies, games, internet, etc.) computer but not be amazing at any one thing.
