This is the updated version of the old G Pro Wireless. It adds optical main switches, USB-C, and a newer sensor. The mouse weighs 80g which is heavier than the Logitech Superlight 2 at 60g. What you do get is 2 configurable side buttons on both sides of the mouse. So if you need extra buttons or you're a left-handed user this could be useful. There are almost no higher end mouse competitions that have side buttons on both sides. The most notable one is the Pulsar X2A which has a smaller and different shape.
$100 is probably okay for this mouse if it has features you need. MSRP of $150 was too much.

I got the gen 1, a good mouse, the only ambidextrous mouse I am comfortable with for both work and gaming. I have been using the gen 1 for two years, so far so good. The quality remains, no double-click like the G903. I will definitely buy the gen 2 if my gen 1 breaks, but not at MSRP.

Have used the g900 and g903 in the past and both were around this price point and both developed double clicking from a single click. Never again Logitech never again.
