These are NMC batteries, Same lithium batteries used in EVs. As long as it's stored in an area that's not in direct sunlight, it should be fine.

I keep buying these and they keep ending up in family members cars. The footprint for what it does makes this ideal to store in the car.

I have not used the Jump start yet. I have used the tire inflator. The hose gets hot when it inflates tires but it works fairly quick and cuts off when it gets to the preset pressure.

Why does a car jump starter need "AI"?

Storing lithium batteries in a hot car is never a good idea, unless you want to burn your car down and anything near jt

Lol, I feel your pain. I lend them out to family members and they end up keeping them. They're pretty handy in a pinch. No idea the long term quality

Highly recommend not keeping these at full charge if you want battery to last more years....

keeping at %100... all the time... you'll find it'll report failed battery when you try to jump something with it.

I have different model units in my vehicles... I full charge, let them rest, then run them down a bit typically with the led light for 1-2hours or more. That's how I keep them "ready" for emergency use.

For long road trips, I'll fully charge before heading out, specifically the ones that have power bank capability.

1500 amps seems a bit on the low side. I picked up 6000 and 7000 (overkill for most) amp models with compressor for $6 more (not including cashback) last month. Model found on Amazon, but cheaper from Aliexpress, ships from the USA. Much nicer, stiff, clam shell style case and more than double the battery capacity if you think you will use it as a battery bank. 26,800 vs 10,000 mAh.

BTW, 26,800 (100 wa) is the max allowable on a plane if thinking about bringing one of these along on vacation for potential use with a rental. Must be carry on only, not checked luggage.

Is this device safe stored in the trunk under the summer heat?
