Also worth noting, the SSD listed here, PCIe Gen4 Performance TLC Opal, is a $400+ 2TB drive on its own.
If you believe this prebuilt can be outdone for less, I'd genuinely like to see a parts list with everything still in stock. Otherwise, your take comes across as the typical anti-prebuilt stance. It's time to accept that prebuilts occasionally do beat DIY builds on price, even if DIY still tends to win on component quality.

Lenovo's Legion Tower 7i Gen 10 is a high end RTX 5090 prebuilt that lands around the parts cost, with the GPU doing most of the heavy lifting and the 2TB PCIe Gen4 TLC Opal SSD, 64GB DDR5, 1200W power supply, and Windows 11 Pro adding real value. The $3399 coupon price and free shipping are viewed as strong for a 5090 system, especially versus nearby Micro Center prebuilts and open box options. The main knocks are that the Core Ultra 9 285K and memory are seen as weaker for gaming than a Ryzen X3D setup, and the deal thread had some header and link confusion. A solid option if you want a ready built 5090 tower without chasing parts.
The deal price can be achieved again using coupon code T7POWER50 with free shipping in cart.
The RTX 5090 is positioned as the main cost driver, and 5090 FE cards reportedly sell out quickly.
A prior Lenovo Legion tower reportedly ran for about 10 years without hardware problems, supporting confidence in the platform.
A 3-year warranty offered for $99 reportedly helped push the purchase decision toward this prebuilt.
The deal hype may be overstated because the header and linked product or price reportedly were incorrect.
The SSD value is challenged because the listed 2TB PCIe Gen4 Opal drive is reportedly worth $400+ on its own.
Gaming performance expectations are questioned because the 285K CPU and DDR5 memory are criticized as weak for feeding a 5090.
Coupon redemption can reportedly be denied, so finding the code directly on Lenovo's site may be necessary.

it uses a trash CPU and trash memory. if you're dumping 3 and half racks for a gaming PC, it better have a ryzen X3D CPU with some hynix Mdie memory.
if you play on a PC like this, the 5090 will lose anywhere between 10% to 30% of it's performance because the dog s**t tier PC can't feed it information fast enough
here is a comparison between a 9800x3d and a 285k using GOOD MEMORY: https://howmanyfps.com/processors...e-marine-2
the 285K uses 10% at 4K. the gap is larger at lower resolutions and ultra wide monitors.
this computer will be even worse due to the trash memory. you're looking at 15-20% loss in this title, at which point you are getting rtx 4090 performance rather than 5090

if you want a 5090 gaming PC, you need to spend about 4k. otherwise you are flushing money down the toilet just to feel like you are getting something good, at least until you start playing demanding games and realize you're around 20FPS below where you should be. or like 150 FPS slower (not a typo) if you're playing competitive shooters on a fast monitor.
