I just used a Lenovo Slim 7i for a few days and Windows just doesn't seem great on laptops. I spent like a couple of days just trying to get rid of the bloat and messing with settings just so I could try and get the same battery life all the reviewers said it should have. The speakers were also not great.

I feel like Apple is overcharging people with their storage options and pricing. The 256gb version is sometimes $799, but for $200 more 512gb version is supposed to be a deal? Pretty disappointing to me.

Idk about best value. The snapdragon and intel Lunar lake stuff it decently competitive at half the price.

The M4 ones have a nicer webcam if that matters to you. And battery life supposed to be slightly better than the M3 in real life use. Having tried an M3 before getting this M4, if you're just browsing the web or watching media, I didn't think there's a huge difference.

It's because apple's own powerpc processors (m1) are all the rage now. They used to be too weak to compete with intel. M processors are cheaper to make and rest of the laptops became cheaper as well- thanks to Asian countries.
