IMO, while the quality of this item from Nathan James is acceptable for regular use...it just barely meets that requirement. I imagine this copy from Amazon is best considered "starter" furniture that will get marked up and dented with basic use. You get what you pay for.

I like the style but the quality doesn't work for me. I'm willing to pay a bit more for solid wood, because even something cheap like rubberwood is so much nicer all around than particle board or mdf. At least give me real wood doors and drawer fronts.

I used to make quality wood furniture but arthritis, running a business, and moving and not setting up a workspace yet have kept me from doing much lately. Something that looks a lot like this piece is definitely on my to-do list if I can get going again building stuff. This looks neat if you can stomach the materials and finishes.
