He's not right on everything but boy he's pretty damn close. Everyone should watch his free to choose series from 1980's free on youtube. Fast forward 45 years and it's amazing how much he's predicted.

This is also isn't true. He didn't support it, he said that it was an economic negative for Britain. He also warned about the looming disaster of central planning, which played out as he predicted. If you ignore BJP propaganda, he's actually very positive on India and its capacities in the India papers.

I think you might be confused about the book and series. He was warning about the growing pattern of choices being removed from us in a paternal manner, not prescribing it. Whatever his flaws, he was broadly right on those counts. One of his fine points was that a democracy of false choices is just feudalism with another name.

It's an interesting read, but if you compare US outcomes to outcomes in even more heavily regulated European and Nordic countries, the argument really falls on it's face.

Well presented with respectful rebuttals and debate at the end. Real conversations by people who've actually read a book before...none of this modern "xxx OWNS yyy!!!" stuff.
