Read the reviews. It doesn't appear that burn-in is covered.

Additionally, a Best Buy employee told me their extended protection plan DOES cover burn-in. Can anyone confirm whether this is true as I've never purchased their TV plans?

Looking at the B5 and was curious whether the warranty would be worth the added cost compared to the LG partner deal. It seems pretty clear burn-in is not covered by the protection plan. Allstate terms and conditions from the Allstate protection plan product page, under section 9, 'What is not covered':

"Burn-in" or burned CRT phosphor (because burn-in or burned CRT phosphor
is a result of Your misuse of the Covered Product);
This is disappointing, since LG advertises the device as "Packed with gaming features like NVIDIA G-Sync and 120Hz refresh rate", and many games will have static UIs. If that leads to burn-in it's hardly 'misuse' of the product.

Interestingly, I asked LG's chatbot whether burn-in is covered and it thinks it is:

Thank you for your question about your **65" LG B5 TV** and burn-in coverage. 😊

For LG OLED TVs like your B5 model, the **manufacturer's limited warranty covers the OLED display panel for burn-in issues for 2 to 5 years** starting from the original purchase or delivery date. However, please note that **labor charges may apply** for this extended panel coverage.

Burn-in is considered a display panel issue, so your TV's OLED panel warranty should cover it within that period. If you notice burn-in, it is best to check your exact warranty status by entering your model number on the LG Support page under "Warranty Information" here: https://www.lg.com/us/support.
Anyway, I think I'm going to get this TV using the LG partner site deal ($820).
